What's New
Enhanced Onboarding & New Remote Covers
New JubileeTV orders now ship with two additional remote covers: one designed specifically for media streamers, and another for hybrid setups (streamer + set-top box). To support this hardware update, we've upgraded our software onboarding flow:
- Revamped Usage Modes: New Primary Admins now receive a clearer introduction to Usage Modes, including detailed configuration guides for the two new remote covers.
- Prompted Favorites Setup: New Primary Admins are now guided to set up their Favorites directly during the initial onboarding process.
- Is your JubileeTV system already up and running?
- You can access JubileeTV Usage Modes[JubileeTV Usage Modes] from the app anytime to view these new configuration details.

Other Improvements & Changes
- Streamlined Drop In Sessions: We've removed the popup at the start of Drop In sessions that indicated whether the console or remote microphone was currently in use.
- Telescope Volume Clarity: We added helpful information within Telescope explaining the technical limitations of reporting TV volume remotely.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the poor network quality indicator would be mistakenly triggered at the start of video calls.

What's New
Enhanced Drop In Controls
We’ve added more flexibility and control during Drop In sessions. You can now:
- Switch between Console and remote mic during an active session. See Drop InDrop In for details.
- Set your mic to be muted by default. See Hub SettingsH for details.
- Tap or click the screen to hide the user interface.
- Keep your screen awake automatically during the entire Drop In session.
Telescope Enhancements
- The room name is now visible in the header of the Telescope screen.
- Listen Mode will automatically disable if a cellular call is detected.
Email Address Updates
Managing account emails is now easier and more flexible:
- Users can now update their email addresses directly through the App. See Account Menu—My Profile for details.
- The Primary Admin can now transfer their Primary Admin role to another Admin through the App. See Changing the Primary Adminpr for details.
Network Quality Test Updates
We've improved our network testing capabilities by adding a Test History section so you can track your connection stability over time.
Customizable Slideshow Timing
You can now select exactly how long photos remain on the screen during a slideshow. See Photos & Videos—Slideshow Settings for details.
Adjustable Reminder Chimes
You now have the ability to select the amount of time a Reminder chime plays. See RemindersReminders for details.
New Media Badges on TV
A badge will now appear on the Photo or Video card on the TV home screen when new media is received if the Message setting is turned OFF.
Other Improvements & Changes
App Updates:
- Mobile OTP for Logins: App users who sign in via email can now opt to have a One-Time Password (OTP) sent directly to their mobile phones (if they have an authenticated mobile number attached to their account).
- Billing Alerts: Added an in-app notification to warn you when your credit card is about to expire.
- UI Polish: Increased button heights for easier tapping, updated the video call quality indicator, and unsaved settings warnings now include a direct "save and exit" option.
- Android Permissions: Removed the "display over other apps" permission requirement for Android users.
Console & TV Interface Updates:
- Settings Alignment: Updated the Devices and Device Details screens in Console settings to match the Hub Details found in the App.
- Primary Admin Visibility: The Primary Admin email is now visible within Console settings.

What's New
Ignore Zones for Activity Feed
You can now configure your Activity Feed to ignore specific areas within the Console camera's field of vision when detecting presence. This helps reduce unwanted notifications and improves detection accuracy.

Enhanced Time & Time Zone Visibility
To prevent confusion when the App User's time zone does not match the time zone of the TV End User, we've added the Console's local time and time zone to key areas of the app:
- Home Screen: The current Console time now displays directly beneath the TV End User's name.
- Activity Feed Daily View: A time zone badge now appears on the left side of the Daily View (next to the TV State and Presence timelines) to clarify that the displayed times are based on the TV End User's time zone, not yours.
- Create Reminders flow: The current Console time is now clearly visible on the Reminder timing screen.
Other Improvements & Changes
- Easier Activity Feed Settings: The gear icon used to access your Activity Feed settings is now visible across all Activity Feed pages, rather than just the Daily View page.
- Clearer Passive Mode Reminders: We’ve updated the language in the Create Reminders flow while in Passive Mode. It now clearly states that the reminder will trigger automatically after 15 seconds.
- Smoother Reminder Time Picker: When creating a new Reminder, the default time is now automatically set to 5 minutes ahead of the current time, saving you a few taps.
- Quick Access to Release Notes: You can now easily access these release notes straight from the app. Just tap the Account Menu (•••) in the top right corner for a direct link to our online knowledge base.
Bug Fixes
- Finishing a Family Story returns to home screen : Resolved an issue where finishing a Family Story would incorrectly return you to the creation flow instead of taking you back to the Home screen.

What's New
J Button focuses the current tile
Pressing the J button now focuses the tile for the source you are currently watching (e.g., Roku or DirecTV) instead of defaulting to the top-left tile.
Other Improvements and Changes
- To prevent accidental changes and simplify the TV interface, TV End User name updates are now handled exclusively through the JubileeTV app.
- Changed Console LED indicator for low remote battery from a slow blue blink to a slow yellow blink.
- Updated language on the Console for the Voice Insights feature (previously Voice Biomarkers).
- On the TV, the Favorites tile is now hidden if there are no source devices or all source devices configured do not support Favorites.
- Added a confirmation prompt to the "Calibrate TV Power Monitoring" flow from TV settings. This prevents accidental erasure of existing calibration data, which previously occurred immediately upon selection.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue where one of the Console LEDs would perpetually blink red while in Passive Mode with Original Remote(s).
- Fixed a rare Telescope crash occurring under specific conditions.
- Resolved an intermittent bug preventing users from initiating Telescope or Drop In sessions.
- Fixed CEC control compatibility issues impacting certain Fire TV and Android TV devices.

Settings Button Added to Telescope
You can now more easily access Console settings through Telescope. Simply tap on the "Actions" tab and select "Settings" on the "JubileeTV Destinations" card.
Activity Feed Navigation Improvement
You can now navigate back and forth through hours in the Activity Feed while on the Hourly View. Previously, you had to go back to the Daily view and select a different hour.
Other Improvements and Changes
- Added "Save Changes" button to the permission screen for Contacts. This aligns behavior on the Contact Permissions screen with other settings screens in the app.
- Improved language for the Optional Behaviors step when creating a Reminder.
- Removed "Give Feedback" option from the Telescope Feedback modal to align behavior of the Telescope Feedback modal with the Video Call feedback modal. Users can still leave feedback by first selecting thumbs down.
- Removed the "Tune to a Channel" option when creating a Reminder with an automated action if the Console does not have a cable/satellite set-top box configured.
- Added a dialogue that appears in some cases when the system senses the TV has been turned off during a video call.
- Voice Insights Button Behavior During Video Calls:
- When a video call starts, the state of the Voice Insights button no longer has a cross through it.
- Added an additional state to represent that a Voice Insights session is in progress.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where app users did not have access to Contacts and Favorites while the system was in limited functionality mode.
- Fixed a bug where in some cases the UI in the Hourly View of the Activity Feed was not expanding the width of the screen on mobile devices.
- Fixed a bug where the JubileeTV logo was appearing too close to the center of the screen on the home page in the app.
- Fixed a bug where Android users were able to initiate video calls even if the mic permission was off at the device level.
- Fixed UI and formatting bugs on the Contact Details screen in the app.

What's New
Set a Default TV Input
You can now choose which device your JubileeTV Console displays every time the TV is turned on. Instead of simply staying on the last used source, you have the flexibility to:
- Always start on a specific device (like a Cable Box or Roku), ensuring a familiar start screen every time.
- Continue using the last active input, maintaining the pre-update behavior.
To update this setting from the App:
- From the App home screen, go to Hub Details by tapping the gear icon to the right of the room name.
- Select the "Settings" tab.
- Scroll down to "Default Input" and select from the options.
Network quality tests
You can now test the quality of the network from both the App and Console. For information on how to do this, see Testing Network Qualityad.
Other Improvements
- We’ve upgraded our presence detection algorithm.
- If a Reminder with a 15-second automated action turns the TV on but is not acknowledged, the TV will now automatically turn back off once the timer expires.
- If the TV loses its internet connection, a new "Open Network Settings" button will appear at the top of the TV screen.
- Video calls will no longer abruptly disconnect if the system detects the TV is off. Instead, the App User will be notified through a message and have the options to dismiss the message or send the TV power command.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that occasionally prevented the Telescope feature from loading.

What's New
Automatically Turn TV Off Setting
The Primary Admin and Admins can specify a time for JubileeTV to send the power off command to the TV every day. To access:
- Select Hub Details from the home screen (the gear icon to the right of the room name).
- Select the Settings tab.
- Scroll down to "Automatically Turn TV Off" and select a time.
Telescope Actions Tab
An Actions tab has been added to Telescope. It includes:
Sleep Timer (new feature)
Any user with Telescope permissions can now set a countdown timer for the JubileeTV to send the power off command. To access:
- Start a Telescope session.
- Select the Actions tab.
- Scroll down to Sleep Timer and select a time.
Slideshow (improved access)
Any user with Telescope permissions can now easily launch and control the slideshow from Telescope
Photos & Videos (moved)
Launching Photos and Videos from Telescope have been moved to the Actions tab. These two shortcuts used to be grouped with Favorites.
Listen Mode
Any user with Telescope permissions can now activate the mic on the Console. This can be used in tandem with Comfortable Volume Level to get a sense of TV volume. To access:
- Start a Telescope session.
- From the Communicate controls in the top right, tap the Listen icon (it looks like a person with sound waves next to their head).
- The Listen icon turns red, indicating that Listen Mode is active.
- To deactivate, select the X in the Communicate tab.
Updated controls for video calls
Video call controls have been updated to utilize the D-pad (OK/Select, left/up/right/left arrows).
- J button to end the call -> Navigate to the "End Call" button using the left/right arrows and push "OK/Select" to end call.
- Check/X to turn the camera on/off -> Navigate to the "Video On/Off" button using the left/right arrows and push "OK/Select" to toggle.
- A dismiss (X) button has been added. User can select it to hide the buttons. Pressing any button on the remote makes the buttons reappear.
Source Devices moved to the home screen
In the previous TV UI, if more than one device was configured, the user had to navigate to Favorites to switch source devices. Source devices have now been moved to the home screen—you no longer have to go to Favorites to switch.
TV Interface Settings
We've added the ability for the Primary Admin and Contact Admins to control some elements of the TV user's experience. See TV Interface Settingsas
Reminders in Passive Mode
15-second Automated Action Reminders can now be set in Passive Modes. If set, a Reminder will go off at the specified time and the action (tuning to a channel or performing a command) will be executed after 15 seconds.
Custom Channels
We've added more customization to Favorites—users can now create custom channels to edit voice aliases, update incorrect channels, and add channels that don't exist in their channel lineups. For more details, see Favorites: Custom Channels.
Other Improvements and Changes
- Renamed "Sleep Timer" to "Power-On to Power-Off Timer" within Hub Details -> Settings.
- Language updates to Voice Insights including renaming the feature from "Voice Biomarkers" to "Voice Insights."
- Activity Feed Presence Detection Photos: If toggled on, JubileeTV previously only captured photos when the number of people detected changed. Now, JubileeTV also takes photos if only one person is detected and the Console detects that this person switched between active and stationary states.
- Colors and other small TV UI elements have been updated.
Bug Fixes
- Allow users to tap outside of video call feedback modal to dismiss it.
