Factory Resetting the Console

overview if you own your jubileetv console (rather than renting it), you must perform a factory reset before gifting or selling the device this process wipes all personal data and returns the hardware to its original "out of the box" state, allowing it to be activated under a new membership there are two ways to perform a reset through the settings menu or manually using the reset button on the device method 1 reset via settings this method is available if the console is currently configured 1\ access settings there are 2 ways to access the settings menu using the jubileetv remote press the guide button three times rapidly and then press the blue j button once press and hold the voice button on the remote and say "settings" when prompted (t his method requires the console be connected to the internet) note you can also access settings via telescope by typing "settings" into the command input field if the console is connected to the internet 2\ perform the reset navigate to and select factory reset confirm your selection when prompted method 2 manual reset the manual reset can be performed at any time, regardless of your membership status or whether the console is connected to the internet plug in the console make sure the console is plugged into power locate the reset button turn the console over on the underside, look for two symbols symbol 1 two circular arrows symbol 2 a triangle identify the pinhole the factory reset pinhole is located directly between these two icons trigger the reset insert a paper clip or a similar thin tool into the pinhole hold for 20+ seconds you will feel a slight "click" when the button is engaged hold the button down for at least 20 seconds confirmation once the console has been factory reset, the leds will light up as follows 1st led solid green 2nd led blinking red (if the console is connected to the internet via ethernet, it will instead show solid green) 3rd led blinking red 4th led blinking red
