The JubileeTV Remote is a universal remote that controls the JubileeTV Console as well as your source devices and TV. The JubileeTV remote connects to the Console via bluetooth, which allows the remote to have an onboard microphone for video calling and onboard speaker to use the Find My Remote functionality.
The Smart Plug is used to measure the power consumption of the TV, which allows JubileeTV to determine whether or not the TV is on. It is important that the TV is plugged into the Smart Plug and then the Smart Plug is plugged into a power source, such as an outlet or power strip.
The Smart Plug connects to the JubileeTV Console using bluetooth.
See Installing JubileeTV Console for more details.
Can the JubileeTV Console control the streaming apps on my TV? No, the JubileeTV Console can only control your TV's power, volume up/down and mute. This is due to the manner in which Smart TVs build their own firmware. Please note that you can use a Smart TV with JubileeTV, you just will need a separate source device (such as a Roku) to watch streaming apps through JubileeTV.
