# Overview

JubileeTV provides a range of settings designed to balance a simple experience for the TV End User with powerful remote management for the App User. These configurations range from Global Settings—which apply to the entire system—to Feature Specific Settings that govern how individual tools behave.

# Permissions

# Core System Settings

These high-level settings impact the baseline behavior of the entire JubileeTV system.

## Usage Mode

**Usage Mode** sets the foundational experience. This determines which **physical remote** the TV End User uses to control the TV and connected devices, and dictates the core logic for features like **Favorites**.

## TV Interface Settings

These controls define the scope of the on-screen experience. Use these to toggle system-wide features like **Messaging** or to set specific permissions—such as whether the TV End User has the autonomy to manage **Favorites** from the TV.

## TV User Information

Update the name and picture for the TV End User.

# Hardware & Room Settings

These settings are specific to the physical hardware and the individual rooms where JubileeTV is installed.

## Console Settings (TV)

Access these settings to make adjustments to the physical hardware, such as adding/removing source devices (e.g., cable/satellite set-top box) or updating the Console's network connection.

- **Who has access:&#x20;**&#x4C;ocally, anyone with access to the physical TV and JubileeTV remote. Remotely, any App User with Telescope permissions.
- **How to access settings:** You can access settings on the JubileeTV Console using the JubileeTV remote or the Telescope feature in the JubileeTV App.
  - **Using the JubileeTV Remote:&#x20;**
    - Press and hold the Orange voice button on the JubileeTV remote and say "**settings**." Note: The Console must be online.&#x20;
    - Press the **GUIDE** button **three times rapidly** and then press the **blue J button once** on the JubileeTV remote.
  - **Using Telescope:**
    1. Start a Telescope session from the JubileeTV App.
    2. Select the **Actions tab**.
    3. Select **Settings** under **JubileeTV Destinations**.

## Hub Settings (App)

Here is where you'll find JubileeTV's most powerful customization tools—[Favorites](docId:05hmDMogl4tjCsRkUK9-x) and [Button Customizations](docId:_oYKcsSG_zHUrp6Fhecu2)—alongside management options like editing the room name and scheduling a daily TV shut-off time.

- **Who has access:** The Primary Admin and Contact Admins.
- **How to access:** From the App home screen, tap the gear icon (⚙️) to the right of the room name.
- **Favorites Access via TV:** You can also manage Favorites directly from the television if enabled in your TV Interface Settings. To do so, press the blue **J** button on the JubileeTV remote, select **Favorites**, and follow the on-screen prompts.

# Feature-Specific Settings

Granular controls for individual JubileeTV services.

## Activity Feed Settings

These settings govern the behavior of the Activity Feed, including global triggers (such as whether photos are captured for specific events) and personal notification preferences.

  1. Select the **Activity Feed card** on the App home screen to open the Activity Feed **Daily View**.
  2. Once on the Activity Feed **Daily View**, tap the **gear icon (**⚙&#xFE0F;**)** in the top right and select **Settings**. from the menu.

## Voice Insights

Voice Insights has a two-step enablement process that requires it to be turned on from both the TV (Console) and the App.
